Our Curriculum - Religious Education

As a Catholic School, we exist to ensure the Faith development of the children in our care. Our parish clergy, staff, parents & parishioners, work together to support the religious development of the children. Regular instruction in religious Education is a feature of our school curriculum. We aim to provide a Religious Education program which is relevant and meaningful and which embraces core Catholic beliefs and values. The program covers the areas of Life Experience, Scripture, Doctrine, Celebrations & our Catholic Tradition. Our RE Curriculum is based based on the Sydney RE Program Celebrating Our Journey.

All teachers of Religious Education are practising Catholics who hold appropriate RE qualifications. We provide opportunities for Mass attendances and Prayer and Liturgy supports our Religious Education program. Each class is visited by the Parish Priest each term. Primary classes attend the Sacrament of Reconciliation once each term. Special prayer assemblies are prepared and celebrated by the infants, Stage 2 and Stage 3 children at Easter and Christmas.
