Extra Curricula - Chess Club
The St Mary’s Chess Club operates during terms 2 and 3 for Years 3 - 6 students after school, one afternoon per week. The children play chess in the library from 3.10pm and are fully supervised until 4.10 pm when parents are expected to collect students promptly from the library. Where possible, a coach is in attendance to improve the students’ skill levels. Generally two St Mary’s representative chess teams take part in an interschool competition.
